Stephen B. Milne , Ph.D.,
Vanderbilt University

Stephen Milne is a research assistant professor whose training is in analytical chemistry. He is a research scientist for the Alliance for Cellular Signaling (AfCS). He has extensive experience in HPLC, mass spectrometry, and NMR. He is currently focused on developing new methods for high-throughput quantitative analysis of phospholipids (PA, PC, PE, PG, PI, PS, SM, and PIP’s) and diacylglycerols (DAGs). Additionally, he is involved in the mass spectral identification of lipid species present in cell extracts. Examples of this process are shown on his poster in which individual peaks from the full mass spectral scans are identified by MS/MS analysis.
