Andrew P. Goodman, B.S.,
Tennessee Technological University

Andrew Goodman is a Research Assistant II in the laboratory. He prepares lipid extracts from RAW 264.7 cells for the Alliance for Cellular Signaling and LIPID MAPS projects. After careful preparation he injects samples into one of the dedicated lipidomic lab mass spectrometers in the Vanderbilt University Mass Spectrometry Research Center (located in MRB III). In addition, Andrew provides broad technical support for projects in the laboratory including cell culture, reagent preparation, radiation safety, and purification of recombinant proteins. In the near future Andrew will assist in the development of LC-MS procedures to achieve better separation and improve quantitative analysis of cellular lipid species.
